PLE Apple Award Nominees and Finalists for 2020/2021

I am thrilled to announce to you Pine Lane’s 2020-21 Apple Awards Finalists.  Thank you all for your thoughtful nominations! Each of our nominees is so deserving of this award and they consistently demonstrate their commitment to our Crew and our Pine Lane mission to empower excellence in character, achievement, and contribution to a better world.  Click here to see all of our nominations: PLE 2020-21 Apple Awards. We are so proud of all of them!

Please join me in congratulating this year’s finalists for Pine Lane. We are permitted to submit one certified finalist and one classified finalist from our list of nominees.

2020-21 Certified Finalist

Our certified staff finalist this year is Margaret Condron.  Ms. Condron is currently teaching a 2/3/4 Discovery class.  That is correct! She is teaching three grade levels of gifted learners. This is no small feat. She has found incredible ways to keep learning fun, engaging, and rigorous for all her students in spite of the challenges of our present pandemic.  Over the years, Ms. Condron has demonstrated a tremendous commitment to the Pine Lane Community and to advocating for gifted learners.  We are very proud to put her name forward as our Certified finalist!

2020-21 Classified Finalist

Sally Smith, our Before and After School Enrichment (BASE) Director, is our classified staff finalist.  We are so proud of her efforts throughout this year to provide quality child care to our community.  Not only has our BASE program provided childcare but during remote and blended learning her team put in the extra effort to collaborate with our teachers, learn the students schedules, and ensure that the students in BASE are engaging with their virtual learning.  We are so grateful for their contribution to Pine Lane Elementary and for Ms. Sally’s leadership.  This is a well deserved nomination!

Again, we are so proud of all of our nominees and a special congratulations to Ms. Condron and Ms. Sally!
